Welcome to Jangam (jangam.com / mobile application). By accessing, browsing, or using our platform to discover or reserve local store inventory, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Platform Scope & O2O Discovery

Jangam operates as a decentralized Online-to-Offline (O2O) marketplace and technological intermediary. Jangam provides digital discovery, real-time inventory visibility, and reservation infrastructure for independent third-party physical merchants. We connect shoppers directly with verified physical retail stores in their vicinity.

Jangam does not operate dark stores or warehouses and is not a direct retail seller.

Reservations & In-Store Purchases

Store Pickup Holds: Placing a reservation on Jangam holds the selected item at the merchant's physical shop counter.
No Online Pre-Payment Required: Final inspection, billing, and payment take place directly at the merchant counter.
Pickup OTP Verification: Verification of your secure 6-digit OTP at the merchant counter confirms physical order fulfillment.

While partner merchants strive to maintain accurate live inventory and baseline pricing on the platform, final billing, applicable local taxes, and product hand-off occur directly at the merchant's checkout counter.

User Conduct & Account Obligations

Users agree to:

Provide accurate phone numbers and contact details for reservation confirmations.
Cancel reservations promptly if no longer intending to visit the store.
Refrain from automated scraping, spamming reservations, or disrupting merchant operations.

Online Reservations & Zero Obligation: Reserving an item on Jangam involves zero upfront payment and zero financial risk. When you click “Reserve for Store Pickup”, the item is physically set aside from retail inventory and held for you at the selected shop. If you choose not to proceed with the purchase after inspecting it in person, you may cancel the reservation at the store counter or let the hold expire with zero cancellation fees.
Fair Use & Prevention of Reservation Abuse: Reservations represent real physical inventory pulled off local merchant shelves. To protect local partner stores from frivolous inventory blocking, stock hoarding, and uncollected holds, Jangam actively monitors reservation completion rates. Repeatedly reserving items without visiting the store, generating phantom bookings, or engaging in spam reservations that waste merchant operational time constitutes platform abuse. Jangam reserves the right to restrict reservation privileges, rate-limit OTP generation, or suspend accounts that repeatedly violate this fair-use policy.

Merchant Conduct & Compliance

Merchant Authenticity & Warranty Compliance: Partner merchants listing inventory on Jangam warrant and represent that all listed goods are genuine, legally sourced, accurately priced, and compliant with applicable consumer protection standards. Product quality, official manufacturer warranties, and after-sales service remain fully covered under standard brand warranty terms and are serviced directly at the local counter or authorized service centers.
Merchant Conduct & Shopper Data Protection: When a shopper reserves an item, the merchant is granted access to limited customer information (such as the customer's name, contact number, and reserved items) solely to fulfill the hold, verify the 6-digit Pickup OTP, and complete the in-store transaction. Merchants are strictly prohibited from storing, exporting, sharing, or utilizing customer contact details for their own independent marketing, promotional broadcasts, unsolicited calls, messaging campaigns, or third-party lead generation. Any use of customer personal data outside the immediate reservation and in-store billing lifecycle constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Enforcement & Delisting: Jangam maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for catalog abuse. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or permanently delist store profiles that engage in counterfeit distribution, abusive behavior, or persistent inventory inaccuracies.

Intellectual Property Rights

Platform Ownership & Proprietary Assets: The Jangam platform, including its software architecture, underlying code, user interfaces, database designs, proprietary algorithms, graphic assets, domain names, and the Jangam (जंगम) wordmark and logos, are the exclusive intellectual property of Jangam Technologies. All rights are reserved under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Third-Party Trademarks, Brand Logos & Product Data: All third-party brand names, company names, product trademarks, and logos (such as Samsung, Apple, Nike, Sony, and others) displayed across the platform are the registered intellectual property of their respective trademark holders. Their presentation on Jangam is strictly for product identification, informational discovery, and catalog reference purposes to indicate the availability of authentic goods at authorized local partner stores. Display of these marks does not imply any official endorsement, sponsorship, or direct affiliation, except where explicitly stated under formal partnership agreements.
Merchant Trademarks & Storefront Content: All store names, individual business trade names, physical shop logos, and custom promotional materials uploaded by partner merchants remain the property of the respective merchant or business entity. By listing on Jangam, merchants grant the platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and format these assets solely for storefront indexing, local search discovery, and order reservation services.
Notice & Takedown Policy: Jangam respects the intellectual property rights of brand owners, manufacturers, and creators. If you believe any content, listing, or logo on our platform infringes upon your copyright or trademark rights, please submit a formal notice with supporting ownership details to support@jangam.com for immediate review and rectification.

Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

Jangam facilitates store discovery and reservation booking. To the maximum extent permitted by law, physical transaction performance and product usage remain between the buyer and retail merchant. Jangam is not liable for indirect disputes arising from in-store interactions or merchant-level warranties.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
